สวัสดีครับ วันนี้ขอประเดิมเริ่มต้นด้วย riddle หรือปริศนาอะไรเอ่ย เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ คำถามคือ

Poor people have it.  Rich people need it. If you eat it, you die. What is it?

คำถามนี้ถ้าคุณเห็นคำตอบก็จะ  มีอาการ bingo moment หรือถึงบ้างอ้อ แน่นอน ก่อนถึงคำตอบเรามาดูคำถามก่อน

คนจนมี คนรวยต้องการ แต่ถ้าคุณกินมันเข้าไปคุณตาย มันคืออะไร

and the answer is  :::.. nothing ..:::

I told you เห็นไหมละครับบอกแล้ว  มันเป็นการเล่นคำกับคำว่า nothing (noun - นัธธิง) ที่แปลว่า ไม่มีอะไรนั้นเอง ซึ่งเป็นคำที่มีความหมายเป็น negative หรือปฏิเสธนั้นเอง

ถ้ายังไม่ถึงบ้างอ้อ if you are still not following ลองดูคำแปลโดยแทน it ด้วยคำว่า nothing จะได้ประมาณนี้

Poor people have nothing,
คนจนไม่มีอะไร(เลย)

Rich people need nothing.
คนรวยไม่ต้องการอะไรอีก (it might appear that the more people have the more they want, who doesn't anyway)

If you eat nothing, you die.
ถ้าคุณไม่กินอะไร คุณก็ตาย

จากประโยคข้างบนเป็นการสร้างประโยคปฏิเสธโดยไม่ต้องใช้คำว่า no หรือ not มาดูตัวอย่างอื่นๆที่มี่คำว่า nothing ครับ
